The opening ceremony of the new building of the Union of Turkic Culture and Art (TГњRKSOY) took place in Ankara. The ceremony was attended by the Culture Ministers of the Turkic-speaking countries, who arrived to Turkey to participate at the 23rd session of TГњRKSOY, Trend reports.
Culture and Tourism Minister of Turkey, Atilla Koch, said that TГњRKSOY is the UNESCO of the Turkic-speaking countries. With each event, TГњRKSOY becomes stronger organization, Koch said. According to him, after the collapse of the USSR, the cultural relations of the Turkic-speaking countries were restored and strengthened. Koch said that from 2007, Cultural Centers named after Yunus Emre will be created in every Turkic-speaking countries.
The Culture Ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzia, Bishkir and Tatarstan cut the red ribbon, after which the session of TГњRKSOY begun.
