Thomas Hammarberg, the Council of Europe Commissar on Human Rights will visit Azerbaijan in March. Mr Hammarberg stated to a briefing in Tbilisi on 18 February that there are different approaches to the resolution of refugee in the region and each country resolves this issue on its way, Trend Correspondent in Tbilisi reports.
According to Hammarberg, approaches towards the problem of refugees have changed in Azerbaijan over the past period and all realized that refugees should not live in unbearable living conditions.
Azerbaijan made a decision on providing refugees with normal living conditions. However, refugees cannot be used for approval of political solutions and they should not be captives of this policy, he stressed.
All these problems will be discussed during the visit to Baku. The CE Commissar intends to visit the refugee camps and to get familiar with their living conditions.
