Countries of Democratic and Economic Development Organization Intend to Cooperate in Nuclear Safety Issues

Countries of the Democratic and Economic Development (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova) intend to cooperate in nuclear safety. ) intend to cooperate in nuclear safety.

The Memorandum of cooperation on nuclear safety among country members of the Organization is already developed and will be signed during the summit of the Organization scheduled for 18 - 19 June in Baku.

The topic of the Memorandum was agreed during the meeting of the National Coordinators Council of the Organization held in Kiev on 15-16 March.

The document was also ratified by the Government committee of Ukraine on the issue of development of economy, which supports the Cabinet Ministers' project on the Signing of Memorandum on cooperation and mutual assistance on nuclear and radiation safety issues among the country members of the Organization.

The Memorandum will contribute to mutual beneficial and equitable cooperation, rational usage and resumption of natural resources.

Specialists consider that the signing of the document will contribute to establishing ties on peaceful usage of nuclear energy and will increase nuclear and radiation safety in the Black and Caspian Seas regions.
