Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Agayeva / On 8 June, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received Kuwaiti State Minister for Foreign Affairs Muhammad Al-Salim Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation.
The Head of State said Azerbaijan-Kuwait relationships are developing successfully. According to the Azerbaijani Leader, the fact that embassies function in both countries is an important element of bilateral relations. President Aliyev expressed his confidence that cooperation with Kuwait will expand in all spheres, in particular, that within international organizations.
Sheikh Muhammad As-Salim As-Sabah offered best wishes from Emir, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Kuwait, and invited President Ilham Aliyev to his country. According to the State Minister, the opening of the Kuwaiti embassy in Azerbaijan is an indicator of the importance Kuwait attaches to its cooperation with Azerbaijan. The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister further expressed hope that active political dialogue and effective cooperation between the two countries will continue to develop.
The Head of State asked As-Salim As-Sabah to convey his greetings to the Kuwaiti Emir, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
