Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Huseinli / Vagif Asadov, the head of the Transport Security and Public Relations Department at the Baku City State Traffic Police, has stated that as a result of raids some 1,000 residents of Baku, who did not use pedestrian subways, were fined.
According to Asadov, policemen of the Baku Police Administration took part in the raids.
In compliance with Article 153 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan the fine makes up to three conventional currency units.
