Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / The documents adopted at the 9th congress of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP) have been submitted to the Ministry of Justice for repeated registration of the party.
A number of changes reflecting democratic principles (the authorities of the chairman, assembling of congresses in two years instead of five, and others) were made at the congress.
The ADP submitted the necessary documents to the Ministry of Justice in order to register the new charter.
The right-wing ADP was founded in 1991 by Sardar Jalaloghlu. The party was in opposition by January of 2007. In January, ADP changed its political course towards a direction of dialogue with the ruling party.
