On 28 June, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, issued an order dismissing Sunduz Babayev from his position as Head of Executive Power of Devechi District; Novruzov Novruz was appointed as the new Head of Executive Power in his stead. According to another Presidential order, Novruzov was dismissed from his position as Head of Executive Power of Goranboy District. In addition, Elshan Abbasov, was appointed as the Head of Executive Power of Goranboy District.
