Reforms in Azerbaijani Interior Ministry’s Bodies Targets Fighting Crimes - Azerbaijani Interior Minister (video)

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynli / Ramil Usubov, the Azerbaijani Interior Minister, stated in talks to journalists on 30 June that the reforms held by the Ministry, targets boosting crime enforcement and would be continued.

Usubov noted that the new bodies will be formed at the Ministry. Inefficient bodies will be cancelled.

The international experience is widely used in police activities. The main objective of the reforms is to achieve positive results in fighting against crime.

Azerbaijan occupies the last place among the CIS and East Europe countries for the number of crimes.

Usubov stressed the Azerbaijani President's efforts in resolving social problems of the Ministry's personnel. The salaries of the Interior Ministry's were raised by 5 or 6 times

The Ministry's bodies were provided with advanced equipment. The opening ceremony of new the Police Academy and Central State Traffic Police buildings will be held in the near future.

The Interior Ministry's employees visited former President Heydar Aliyev's grave at the Cemetery of Honors on the National Police Day on 30 June.
