(news.sawf.org) - Charlie Sheen's fiancee Brooke Mueller has entered the actor's custody battle with his ex-wife Denise Richards.
Mueller has condemned Richards' claims against Sheen that now include accusations about the way he handled his engagement.
In a court filing, Richards claimed that her two children with Sheen, Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, didn't learn of their father's engagement to Mueller, 30, until it was announced on a TV show.
"That is 100 percent untrue. Denise begged us on a few different occasions not to tell the girls we were engaged," People quoted Mueller, as saying.
Mueller, who Sheen proposed to in July, said that the claim was so ridiculous that she "won't dignify it with a response."
Mueller also claimed that Richards doctored emails filed with the court that appear to show Mueller apologizing for Sheen's behavior.
"It's a shame that Denise conveniently edited my e-mail correspondence to serve her own interests. She would be both mortified and embarrassed if I released any one of her 40 e-mails to me. But she knows my character and humanity and knows that I would never do such a thing," Mueller said.
As for Richards' claims of Sheen's "inappropriate behavior", Mueller called these "laughable at best."
Sheen and Richards divorced in November 2006, however, the division of assets and custody rights is still to be decided.
