( dpa ) - A portion of the stands for Carnival parades in the Brazilian city of Fortaleza collapsed, injuring at least 40 people, Brazilian media reported Monday.
The victims fell from a height of 2-3 metres early Monday, but none of them were seriously and were treated by the fire department on site.
The traditional parades in Fortaleza, the capital of the north- eastern Brazilian state of Ceara, will be suspended until the cause of the accident is determined.
On Saturday, two people died, and 12 others were taken to hospital when a truck featuring a stage with live music ran over 20 dancers, in the town of Sabara, in the state of Minas Gerais.
