Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 August / Trend / Rovshan Bayramov (55kg weight class), Azerbaijani Graeco-Roman wrestler, gained silver medal in the Olympic Games in Beijing, by defeating Russian wrestler Nazyr Mankiyev (3:4, 2:2).
At present, Azerbaijan succeeds one gold and one silver medal. Beating the Korean judoka for 3 seconds, the Azerbaijani judoka Elnur Mammadli (73kg weight class) became the first sportsman who brought success to Azerbaijan at the Beijing Olympic Games.
Bayramov defeated Egyptian wrestler Mostafa Mohammad (4:0, 8:0) Cuban Yagner Ernandes (4:0, 1:2, 4:0) and Armenian wrestler Roman Amoyan (7:2, 4:1) in semi-final.
Another Azerbaijani wrestler Vitaliy Rahimov (60kg weight class) will face with Russian Islam- Bek Albiyev in final on 12 August.
