The first case of Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever was fixed in Georgia. 31-year-old man was taken to Tbilisi's infection hospital, head of National Center for Disease Control, Paata Imnadze, said.
"State of a man is heavy. He is connected to respiratory system. It was revealed that a man was infected in one of Tbilisi's surrounding regions," he said.
Imnadze said that it is the first case of this infection in Georgia. The ministry of health bears all expenses to treat infected man.
Doctors have already controlled infected man's wife and small child.
Experts said that death-rate in case of infection is 60 percent. People can be infected with Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever through rodents via fleas.
