The procedure of confirming the participation in the Eurovision-2012 will be held in November.
The European Broadcasting Union will determine terms of the confirmation by the countries, Public Broadcasting Company Spokesman Tahir Mammadov told Trend.
Azerbaijan has already launched preparatory work for holding the competition.
Public Broadcasting Company CEO Ismayil Omarov is scheduled to meet with the European Broadcasting Union leadership on June 20 to discuss the preparatory work.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has already signed an order on conducting the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku. The decree stipulates creating the Organizing Committee for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku to be chaired by UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva.
The Organizing Committee is tasked to prepare an action plan for the organization and conduct of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.
Azerbaijani duo Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) with their pop-ballad "Running Scared" won the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
According to the rules of Eurovision, the winner-country gets the right to host the next competition.
