The court session on the criminal case of Shamsiya Baylargizi accused of fraud continued in Baku Court on Grave Crimes under the presidency of the judge Shakar Mammadova on Wednesday.
The prosecutor asked to sentence Baylargizi to 10.5 years of imprisonment.
On the basis of the complaint of the former Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Afshar Soleymani Shamsi Beylergyzy were charged under Article 178 of the Criminal Code (fraud).
According to the indictment, Shamsiya Beylergyzy misappropriated $ 741 thousand owned by Soleymani. In addition, the investigation revealed a number of more aggrieved persons.
