Syria decides to establish industrial zones in several provinces

A decision was taken in the Council of Ministers in Syria to establish industrial zones in the provinces of Idlib, Daraa, Homs and As-Suwayda, SANA news agency reported on Thursday.

According to the report, at the meeting Prime Minister Wael Nader Al-Halqi stressed that Syria attaches great attention to the development of the industrial sector. It is a priority in the overall development of the country, and is designed to meet the needs of the Syrians, as well as to achieve the stabilization and development of Syria.

At the meeting of the Council of Ministers it was decided to establish the industrial zone in the Ar-Rveiha district in the Idlib province with area of 74 hectares, and the industrial zone in Jbab district in the Daraa province along the international motor highway.

In addition, the government has decided to establish an industrial zone in the Tel-Kalyah disitrict in Homs province with an area of 50 hectares. Another industrial zone will be established in the Umm-Zeitoon village of As-Suwayda province.

Al-Halqi pointed out that this decision will be fulfilled in the near future, and the government will take all measures to facilitate its realization.
