Turkish police to be fined for late arrival

Turkey's General Directorate of Security intends presenting a new bill to the country's government under which those security forces that arrive late at a crime scene will be fined, Anadolu agency reported on Monday.

According to the statement, police which are sent to the scene will be monitored by means of GPS-navigation. In the case of it being found that the police have not left for the scene or arrived there late, they will be fined.

The size of fines and other details of the bill have not yet been announced. It is reported that the bill will be presented for consideration to the country's government in October.
