A general meeting marking the 70th anniversary of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has been held.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the meeting and addressed the event.
Speakers at the meeting included president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizade, Nobel laureate, professor George Fitzgerald Smoot, and director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, academician Victor Matveev.
