Baku holds dress rehearsal for opening ceremony of Artistic Gymnastics World Cup

A dress rehearsal for the opening and awarding ceremonies of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup was held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku Feb. 13.
FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on February 19-21. The competitions on six types of gymnastics were also held at the National Gymnastics Arena during the first Baku 2015 European Games in summer 2015.
Some 45 men and 22 women will compete for the medals in the finals on apparatus. In total, some 19 countries will participate in the competitions.
The qualifications will be held on the first and second days of the competition. The finals on apparatus will be held on the final day of the Cup.
The various competitions will be held among spectators during the competitions. The entertainment flash mobs will be also organized.
Oleg Stepko, the bronze medalist of the World Championship (parallel bars), the only Azerbaijani sportsman, awarded with five medals during the first Baku 2015 European Games, as well as his teammate Petro Pahnyuk, will be among the favorites for the World Cup.
Together they won a bronze medal in the team competition.
Among women Azerbaijan will be represented by Yulia Inshina, Marina Nekrasova and Maria Smirnova.
