BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20. The International Gymnastics Federation has approved the rhythmic gymnastics competition calendar for the new Olympic cycle, with Baku, Azerbaijan, set to host major events, Trend reports via Idman.biz.
The calendar spans the next three years, during which three World Championships will be held, one of which is scheduled for Baku. This championship, to be held from September 15–19, 2027, will serve as a qualifying event.
In addition, Baku will continue to host the World Cup by tradition. Next year's event is set for April 18–20, with the 2026 Baku stage scheduled for April 17–19. The 2028 World Cup in Baku is also planned for mid-April (April 14–16).
Regarding the World Championships, next year’s event will take place in Rio de Janeiro (August 20–24), and in 2026, Frankfurt will host the championship from August 12–16.
