Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / An appeal against the sentence of editor-in-chief and an employee of the newspaper Muxalifat will be submitted to Court this week.
Rashad Hajili, attorney for editor-in-chief, Rovshan Kabirli, and employee Yashar Agazada, will prepare an appeal and submit it to Yasamal District court in two to three days.
In compliance with MP Jalal Aliyev's appeal the journalists were found guilty of Article 147.2 (slander) of the Criminal Code and the Yasamal District Court sentenced them to two years and six months imprisonment on 16 April 2007.
The hearing of Kabirli and Agazada will be held on 29 May in Yasamal District Court.
