Azerbaijani Education Ministry Suggest Opening Faculties on Training of Social Service Employees at Universities

Alizadeh / The Azerbaijani Labour and Social Security Ministry has applied to the Education Ministry with a suggestion to establish faculties on training of social service employees at Universities, the Deputy Education Minister, Natig Mammadov, reported on 19 June. According to Mammadov, the suggestion was regarded positively.

Mammadov said that a professional training centre would be opened in the Azerbaijani region of Goychay by the end of the year. Some 390 people took preparatory courses in foreign languages and computer skills in regional training centres. The representative of the International Labour Organization held workshop-training with the instructors within the framework of the courses.

Twelve blind people are taking sewing courses at Baku Regional Training Centre. The project is being implemented with the support of the UN Development Program. Specialized courses on 24 professions are expected to be organized in the future.
