Turkmenistan will increase the pace of oil and gas production, Trend reports with reference to Nebit-Gaz electronic newspaper.
The need to increase the pace of work was discussed during the review of the results of the work of Turkmenistan's oil and gas industry enterprises from January through May of 2021.
In addition, during the discussion, the need to pay attention to the consistent implementation of production plans, in particular, to increase the production capacity of the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, as well as to increase the volume and range of products, attract foreign investors to the oil and gas sector, expand mutually beneficial cooperation with large oil and gas companies based on advanced technologies of foreign countries was highlighted.
Turkmenistan exceeded the plan in the field of oil and gas condensate production, as well as oil refining from January through May 2021.
During the reporting period, the plan for the production of gasoline was exceeded by 12.8 percent, diesel fuel - by 0.3 percent, polypropylene - by 18.8 percent, liquefied gas – by 15.5 percent, natural and associated gas production - by 16 percent.
Meanwhile, the plan for gas exports was exceeded by 23.7 percent in the specified period, and the development of investments in this sector – by 17.7 percent from January through May 2021.
