A total of 235,377 tons of chemical products worth $63.7 million were produced in Azerbaijan from January through July 2021, which is almost 37 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing a report of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, 79,331 tons of polyethylene were produced in Azerbaijan, which is a decrease of 12 percent on annual basis, and polypropylene production decreased by almost 16.5 percent to 50,512 tons.
As reported, the volume of production of nitrogen fertilizers in the country surged by 68.5 percent over the year and amounted to 85,026 tons.
