The average monthly order receipt for Azerbaijani buyers of foreign goods is about $200, Kamil Abyshev, General Director of the postal and courier services of Limak VM LLC, told Trend.
Both the dynamics of orders and their cost change according to the time of the year, he said.
When the limit for duty-free import of goods was $1,000, the average check for a user's monthly order was about $500, Abyshev noted.
"Currently, the duty-free import limit is $300, which includes the cost of delivery. Based on this, the average check is about $200," he said.
Despite the pandemic, the number of people shopping online has increased, the CEO of the company added.
From January through June 2021, the postal and courier services of Limak VM LLC provided services in the amount of 30.6 million manat ($18 million).
