Kazakhstan plans to produce more than two million barrels of oil per day, or over 100 million tons per year, by 2030, Murat Zhurebekov, the country’s first vice minister of energy, said at the 23rd World Petroleum Congress, Trend reports on Dec. 8.
According to Zhurebekov, the annual gas production will reach about 85 billion cubic meters and nearly 15 percent of renewable energy sources in total electricity generation.
He also stressed that the Government of Kazakhstan actively supports and creates all conditions for increasing investment attractiveness, carrying out serious reforms in the legislative framework.
