BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 21. The cargo turnover of Turkish Antalya International Airport increased by 1.7 times in June 2022 compared to the same period last year and amounted to 131,745 tons, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, the airport's cargo turnover on domestic flights increased by 73 percent in June 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 27,570 tons, and on international flights - 2.1 times (up to 104,176 tons).
Passenger traffic at the airport increased 1.4 times in June 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 (up to 10.2 million).
Passenger traffic on domestic flights increased by 73 percent and amounted to 2.7 million people, and on international flights - by 1.8 times (up to 7.4 million people).
According to the ministry, the number of flights performed in June 2022 increased compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 70,596.
At the same time, the number of domestic flights increased by 30 percent - up to 21,181, and international flights - by 1.6 times (up to 49,415).
Passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 75.09 million people in June 2022, and cargo turnover – was 1.7 million tons.
Ministry also added that passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 128.3 million people in 2021, and cargo turnover – 3.3 million tons.
