BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. Azerbaijan is rebuilding energy facilities on its liberated lands in record time, Baba Rzayev, president of "Azerenergy" JSC ", said, Trend reports via his article, published in the "Azerbaijan" newspaper.

Thus, according to him, just three months after the end of the Second Karabakh War, in February 2021, the first infrastructure project on the liberated territories - an 8-megawatt "Gulabird" hydropower station in the city of Lachin was opened.

At the same time, on December 24, 2020, work on the construction of a substation in Shusha was launched.

"For the realization of this initiative the "Shukurbeyli" substation in Fizuli, which is a parallel hub substation, had to be expanded and completely reconstructed, and a 110 kW double-chain transmission line had to be built from the "Shukurbeyli" substation to Shusha through hard-to-reach highlands. As a result, a 75-kilometers long 110 kV double-chain power line was built in Shusha in record time - 73 days," he said.

The first object put into operation in the city of Fizuli was the newly built 110/35/10 kilowatt "Fizuli" substation, as well as a 70-kilometer long 110 kV double-chain power line and from Dashkesan to Kelbajar, and a 110/35/10 kW "Kelbajar" substation, Rzayev said.

Meanwhile, on the anniversary of the liberation of Sugovushan from Armenian occupation, the opening of the fully reconstructed "Sugovushan-1" and "Sugovushan-2" small hydropower stations with a total capacity of 7.8 megawatts took place on October 3, 2021, while the day after, on the anniversary of the liberation of Jabrayil, a 110/35/10 kilowatt “Jabrayil” substation was put into operation

On October 20, 2021, the solemn opening of the newly built "Zangilan" substation with a capacity of 110/35/10 kW and - the opening of the "Gubadli" substation on October 25 took place.

"For this purpose, a 110 kW power line was built from the "Shukurbeili" substation in Fizuli to power again the substations "Jabrayil ", "Gubadli" and "Zangilan", - said Rzayev.

"In 2021, in parallel with the construction of a 110-kilowatt double-chain transmission line 35 km long from the "Khindiristan" substation to Agdam, and the "Agdam-1" and "Agdam-2" substations construction, the construction of the Regional Center for Digital Management of Karabakh was launched, and on February 13, 2022, all three objects were solemnly opened," he said.

Also, within the framework of the international energy project, Azerbaijan-Turkey-Europe laid the foundation of the "Jabrayil" power plant with a capacity of 330 kilowatts was laid on May 26, 2022

The "Kelbajar-1" small hydropower station with a capacity of 4.4 megawatts was commissioned on June 26, 2022, as the first production facility in the region after the reconstruction

"In addition to this station, "Chirag-1" small hydropower plant with a capacity of 8.33 megawatts, and "Chirag-2" (3.6 megawatts), "Gamishli" (6.33 megawatt)s, "Soyugbulag" (5.3 megawatts) and "Meydan" (3.4 megawatts), including the construction of the substation with a capacity of 110/35/10 kW and a two-chain "Kelbajar-Lachin" 110 kV power line were built in Lachin district," Rzayev added.

He pointed out that on August 26, 2022, the day of handing over to the Azerbaijani side of the city of Lachin, the villages of Zabuh and Sus, Azerenergy entered the district and, as a result of the work done, in just 4 days electricity was provided to these settlements, while a foundation of the substation in Lachin was laid on 21 September.

Thus, more than 400 km of 110-kilowatt double-chain power line equipped with fiber-optic cable has been commissioned in the liberated territories. In total, 4 hydropower plants, 10 digital substations, and 1 regional digital control center for 22 power facilities were built and put into operation.
