BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 29. The incomes of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) from oil and gas transit are expected to make up 23.6 million manat ($13.8 million) in 2023, Azerbaijani Accounts Chamber commenting on the SOFAZ budget for next year told Trend on November 29.
According to the chamber, this figure is 2.2 million manat ($1.3 million), or 10.4 percent more than the corresponding indicator for 2021 and 1.8 million manat ($1.06 million), or 8.4 percent more than the forecast for this year.
"The growth in transit incomes in 2023 will be due to an increase in tariffs, given the inflation factor. In 2022, incomes from the transit of oil and gas through the territory of Azerbaijan were projected at 21.8 million manat ($12.8 million), but by the end of the year, the incomes are expected at 12.7 million manat ($7.4 million), or about 58.3 percent of total revenues," the chamber concluded.
