BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 21. As many as 78,644 passengers were serviced by the Dalaman International Airport in Turkish Mugla city in January 2023, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, this figure is 22 percent more than in the same period of 2022.
In the reporting month, the airport's domestic air passenger traffic reached 69,660 people (growth of 9 percent), whereas international passenger traffic reached 8,984 people (growth of 2.76 times).
In January 2023, the airport's air cargo traffic amounted to 625 tons (an increase of 23 percent). At the same time, the airport's domestic air cargo traffic equaled 538 tons (year-on-year increase of 8 percent), whereas international cargo traffic reached 87 tons (a growth of 7.62 times).
Furthermore, 1,366 flights were implemented in January 2023, which was 45 percent more than in the same month of 2022. Meanwhile, the number of domestic flights amounted to 1,274 (a decline of 38 percent), whereas international flights – 92 (a rise of 3.6 times).
In addition, passenger traffic at all Turkish airports totaled 13.6 million people in January 2023, and cargo turnover - 292,330 tons.
In 2022, the volume of passenger traffic at all Turkish airports amounted to 181.9 million people, and cargo turnover - 4.004 million tons.
