Azerbaijan’s GDP data revealed for 7M2023

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 0.7 percent to 70.3 billion manat ($41.3 billion) from January through July 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, Trend reports.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, value added increased by 3.4 percent in the non-oil sector, while it decreased by 2.2 percent in the oil and gas sector during the reporting period of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

The share of industry in the structure of GDP was 42.8 percent during the reporting period.

According to the State Statistics Committee, a total of 9.4 percent of GDP accounted for trade and repair of vehicles, 6.1 percent - for transport and warehousing, 4.9 percent - for construction, 6 percent - for agriculture, forestry and fish farming, 2.3 percent - for the tourism sector, 1.6 percent - for information and communications. As many as 17.7 percent of GDP accounted for other sectors of the economy.

Net income from the import tax amounted to 9.2 percent of GDP during the reporting period.

GDP per capita amounted to 6,938 manat ($4,081) in Azerbaijan from January through July 2023.

Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 4.6 percent to 133.8 billion manat ($78.7 billion) in 2022 in comparison with 2021.
