BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. Snam has designed approximately 10.3 billion euros for the sustainable development of infrastructure in its 2023-2027 investment plan, which is an increase of 1.3 billion, compared to the previous plan (2022-2026), Trend reports.

According to the plan, a significant portion, 7.4 billion euros (up from 6.3 billion in the previous plan), is specifically designated for transportation.

This includes investments in the enhancement of the Adriatic backbone, the replacement of around 900 km of pipelines, the construction of dual-fuel compressor stations, and connection works with the FSRUs and biomethane plants.

Another 1.4 billion euros (compared to 1.3 billion in the previous plan) is set aside for the expansion and upgrading of storage sites.

Additionally, 1.5 billion euros (compared to 1.4 billion in the previous plan) is earmarked for LNG, with the increase attributed to the commissioning of the Ravenna FSRU, the Piombino FSRU relocation, related infrastructure investments, and the construction of small-scale infrastructures (Panigaglia and Pignataro) in both Northern and Southern Italy.

Meanwhile, in total, Snam plans to invest some 11.5 billion euros in various fields over 2023-2027 - up by 15 percent compared to the previous plan.
