Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.I.Khalilova / The 27th meeting of the Intergovernmental Council on Antimonopoly Policy of CIS countries is being planned to take place in May 2008. This decision was made during a meeting of the Council in Baku on 20 and 21 September, Samir Dadashev, the head of the State Antimonopoly Service at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development, said.
Proposals should be submitted to the Secretariat of the Council by 1 December to establish an agenda for the next meeting. Members of the Council should submit proposals regarding possible interaction between antimonopoly bodies and domestic affairs of the country by 1 November 2007.
New methodology will be developed in the telecommunications market due to the launch of joint studies in the country. The Council will request information from the EU regarding joint studies of the telecommunications market. Analysis of the telecommunications market envisages studies of mobile communications, fixed telephone communications and IP-telephony.
