Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr U. Ismayilova / The number of working pensioners in Azerbaijan has increased by 1.4% (16,361people) in January to September 2007 compared to the same period of 2006 and made up some 1.2mln people, the Azerbaijani Fund for Social Protection reported on 5 December.
In three quarters of 2007, the number of old-age pensioners by 1.5% (11,469 people) and comprised 794,840 pensioners - 66% of the total number of pensioners.
The number of invalid pensioners increased by 2.3% within the last 9 months of the year (6,382 people) and constituted 282,307 people.
In January to September the average labor pension rose by 62.3% compared to the same period of 2006 which was due to inflation.
