New Composition of Inter-Government Commission on Economic Cooperation of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan Approved

Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 February / corr. Trend I. Khalilova/ The new composition of the Azerbaijani-Tajikistani Inter-Government Commission, on Trade and Economy, has been approved by the presidential decree. The decree said that Heydar Babayev, the minister of economic development of Azerbaijan, will lead the Inter-Government Commission.

The composition of the Commission includes the deputies of the ministers on the emergency situations, foreign affairs, transport, agriculture, culture and tourism, communication and information technologies, chairman of the State Committee for the Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, ambassador of Azerbaijan to Tajikistan and head of Department for the Economic Relations with CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.

The inter-government commission between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan has been set up on the basis of the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation, signed on 15 March 2007 in Dushanbe. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan is instructed to inform Tajikistan about the forming of the Commission.
