Russia's oil output up 2.1% to 9.85 mln bbl/d in 2007

( RIA Novosti) - Oil output in Russia increased 2.1%, year-on-year, in 2007 to 490.7 million metric tons (9.85 mln barrels per day), the country's top statistics body said on Monday.

The State Statistics Service, Rosstat, said crude sales on the domestic market grew 3.8% in the reporting period to 228.6 million metric tons (4.5 mln bbl/d) and exports were up 4% to 258.4 million metric tons (5.1 mln bbl/d).

In December, oil output, not including gas condensate, totaled 9.763 million bbl/d in Russia and 31.986 mln bbl/d in OPEC countries, including 2.325 mln bbl/d in Iraq and 8.982 mln bbl/d in Saudi Arabia, Rosstat said.
