( WCF ) - Renault's entry into the Sports Tourer market has been reaffirmed in Geneva with the Laguna GT. Offered with something called Active Drive chassis with four-wheel steering, the GT is said to manoeuvre better with dynamic response and enjoyment for the driver.
GT comes with two exclusive engines, the first yielding 180 bhp/131kW and 400Nm of torque, which is exceptional for a 2.0-litre turbo diesel. Torque is available from a lowly 2000rpm, all the way to 5000rpm. The 2.0 dCi engine has a 0 - 100km/h time of 8.5 seconds, with a fuel consumption average of 6.5 litres per 100km.
Petrol powered GT uses the same 2.0-litre engine found in Renault Sport cars and it produces a sterling 205 bhp/150kW in this case. It takes 7.8 seconds to run from 0 - 100km/h using an average of 8.2 litres of fuel per 100km.
