Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 March / corr. Trend U. Ismayilova/ The Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Azerbaijan has completed the project on Reforms in Social System of Azerbaijan with the support of the TACIS program of European Union, the Ministry said on 29 March.
The project worth of 1.45mln euros covered 2 years. The Finish Consulting Group Ltd was responsible for the realization of the project.
The project includes the following components:
1. The development of strategy of public assistance in Azerbaijan,
2. The alleviation of poverty and the improvement of ways of public assistance,
3. To increase the skills of the workers by holding relevant training,
4. To inform the population about the public assistance.
The Ministry said that the project will be extended up to December 2008 to realize the pilot project to improve the current ways of public assistance.
