Azerbaijan, Baku, 28 August / Trend corr. E.Ismayilov / The Baku Subway expects the funds to be allocated from the state budget to construct a new metro station, which is called "Third". The construction works are expected to commence in 2009.
"Construction of the new station will be commenced in 2009, but the exact date depends on the sum of funds," Subway said.
The new station will be located between the sixth and eighth micro regions in Baku.
Baku Subway has been operating since 1967 - from the station Ichari Shahar to Nariman Narimanov. Seven stations (Ichari Shahar, Sahil, 28 May, Jafar Jabbarli, Khatai, Nizami and Elmlar Academiya) sunk to a great dept, Bakmil- overland station and the rest - tower and small dept (totally there are 20 stations).
