Sharp fluctuation in exchange rate resulted from unbalanced change of methods of currency regulation of tenge exchange rate, Chairman of Temirbank JSC board Ablahat Kebirov said, commenting current situation on exchange market.
Sharp fluctuation in exchange resulted from unbalanced change of methods of currency regulation of tenge exchange rate made by the National Bank of Kazakhstan in the shortest term. It caused speculative demand for foreign currency amid expected growth of dollar rate, Ablahat Kebirov said on Feb. 9, whose words cited in press-release of Temirbank JSC.
Rate of tenge will not be changed significantly in the nearest future, Kebirov said.
"It reached short-term balance. We recommend all Kazakh people not to purchase or sell foreign currency in the nearest future, since the current rate is mainly speculative, the balance point has not been exactly determined yet," head of Temirbank JSC said.
In future, fluctuation in exchange rate, both increase and decrease, can be possible, he said.
"So, any significant operations on exchange market in short terms can lead to both getting extra incomes and expenditures," Kebirov said.
