The Azerbaijani State Maritime Administration will take part in the 87th session of the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) Maritime Safety Committee to be held in London May 12-21, the administration reported.
A delegation led by Administration Head Gudrat Gurbanov will represent the country at the event.
The session will discuss ways to improve maritime safety, new standards of construction of ships, piracy and armed attacks on ships, safety of cargo vessels, the performance of basic legal documents and other relevant issues.
