The Ganja and Minsk automobile plants have agreed to open a "showroom" for MAZ products in Baku by late 2010, head of the Ganja Automobile Plant Khanlar Fatiyev told Trend today.
"The sides agreed to open the showroom by late 2010," Fatiyev said.
According to the company head, the showroom will feature MAZ vehicles and equipment.
In late April, the Ganja Automobile Plant and the German Haller company signed a long-term contract to produce municipal equipment based on MAZ in Azerbaijan.
The plant also assembles the goods of the Minsk Tractor Plant. According to market research, the plant may increase annual production to 5,000 units in the near future.
The contract to assemble and sell trucks and tractors produced by Minsk automobile and tractor plants in Azerbaijan was signed in late November 2006.
Ganja is located 265 kilometers west of Azerbaijan's capital Baku.
