The Turkish Privatization Supreme Council decides to include roads and bridges, under the Head Highways Department dealing with construction, maintenance, repair and exploitation, in the program of privatization, the organization said.
According to this decision, highways of Edirne-Istanbul-Ankara, Rozanti-Tars-Mersin, Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantepe, Iskenderun-Toprakkale, connecting roads Gaziantepe, Shanliurfa, Izmir-Cheshme, Izmir-Aydin, county roads Ankara, Izmir, Fatih Sultan Mehmet, as well as bridges over the Bosporus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet must be included in the program of privatization.
The right to property must be granted when a one-package business plan for 25 years, including indices for maintenance and exploitation, fares, range of rendered services is provided.
The privatization procedure will be completed in late 2012, the report said.
