Diplomat urges Turkish businessmen to invest in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Faig Bagirov urged the Turkish businessmen to invest in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey said.
Bagirov paid a working visit to the Samsun province on Friday.
During the visit, Bagirov met with Samsun Governor Huseyin Aksoy, Samsun Municipality Secretary General Kenan Sar and Samsun Trade-Commerce Chamber Chairman Salih Zeki Murzioglu. The meetings mulled the possibility of developing economic relations between the two countries and prospects of relations between the regions, including the businessmen.
Then, the participants got acquainted with the Samsun port and the port management informed Bagirov about the activities of the port.
Following this, Bagirov held a meeting with Samsun's businessmen at the Trade-Commerce Chamber. At the meeting attended by the leaders of some 40 industrial enterprises, Bagirov urged businessmen to invest in Azerbaijan and spoke about the positive results of development of the economic ties between the two countries.
AZPROMO's representative Rufat Mammadov held a detailed presentation of favorable investment climate created in Azerbaijan.
Chairman of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Business Council of the Committee for Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey (DEİK) Cengiz Gul delivered a presentation on prospects of economic relations between the two countries.
Bagirov also met with representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Samsun. Local press widely covered this visit.
