Average rate on deposits in manat as of June .1, 2011 amounted to 10.98 percent compared to 10.96 percent as of May 1, 11.2 percent as of June 1, 2010, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan said.
Average rate on deposits in foreign currencies amounted to 11.35 percent compared to 11.2 percent and 10.87 percent respectively.
As of June 1, the average rate on deposits of physical entities in manat was 11.66 percent compared to 11.66 percent as of May 1, 12.91 percent as of early June 2010. Average rate on deposits from individual customers in foreign currencies amounted to 11.5 percent compared to 11.29 percent and 12.65 percent respectively.
As of early June, the average rate on deposits of legal entities in manat was 6.24 percent compared to 6.35 percent as of May 1, 5.4 percent as of June 1, 2010.
Average rate on deposits from corporate clients in foreign currency amounted to 7.88 percent compared to 9.03 percent and 5.97 percent respectively.
