IMF forecasts 7-percent-increase in Azerbaijani central bank's reserves

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), official foreign reserves at the Azerbaijani Central Bank (CBA) will reach $9.6 billion by late 2012, the IMF report "Regional Economic Outlook: Middle East and Central Asia" published on the fund's website on Wednesday said.

According to the IMF, the CBA's official foreign reserves will amount $9 billion as of late 2011.
The CBA's foreign reserves reached 6.943.3 billion in the first nine months of the year. As of 2010, the CBA's foreign reserves amounted to 6.407.6 billion. According to the CBA's forecasts, foreign reserves will exceed $8 billion as of late 2011.

According to the IMF, surplus of Azerbaijan's payment balance is expected to reach 22.7 percent of GDP in 2011, 19.3 percent in 2012.

According to the report, this figure will hit $15.5 billion in 2011 and $15.6 billion in 2012.
