Some 5924.9 million manat from all financial sources were invested in the development of economic and social spheres in Azerbaijan in the first half of the year, which is 29.6 percent more compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee told Trend on Monday.
Some 3.384 billion manat has been invested in the construction and installation work, which is 57.1 percent of total investments. Some 2.742.3 billion of investment were directed to the construction of a production orientation facilities, while 3.182.6 billion manat to non-production facilities.
Some 77.9 percent of the total capital investment account for the domestic investment. The major part of domestic investment (71.3 percent) directed to state-owned enterprises and organizations, and only 28.7 percent - to private enterprise.
Some 28.6 percent (1695.5 million manat) of the capital invested in the funds directed to the oil sector, 71.4 percent (4229.4 million manat) aimed at developing non-oil sector of the country, including ten percent (593.7 million manat) - non-oil industrial sector.
At the same time 38.6 percent of investment accounts for industrial areas, five percent - agriculture, 2.2 percent - trade, 17.1 per cent - transportation and warehousing, three percentage points - communication and information, 1.7 percent - health care, 2 9 percent - education, 10.4 percent - for real estate transactions (of which 10.3 percent - housing), 5.3 percent - leisure, entertainment and culture, 6.7 percent - public administration, one percent - for the financial and insurance activities, 2.6 percent - for construction, 1.8 percent - for administrative services and assistance, catering and tourism - 1.6 percent.
Some 2747.7 million manat (46.4 percent of total investments) invested in the main capital at the expense of businesses and organizations, bank loans - 273.6 million manat (4.6 percent), the budget - 2.507 billion manat (42, 3 percent), off-budget funds - 229.7 million manat (3.9 percent), personal funds of the population - 149.7 million manat (2.5 percent), other funds - 17.2 million manat (0.3 percent).
