Tallinn port JSC is ready to receive Kazakh cargo, port chairman Ain Kaljurand told Trend on Thursday.

"We are open for cooperation and our port is ready to receive Kazakh cargo for Europe," Kaljurand said on the sidelines of the Kazakh-Estonian business forum within the framework of the official visit of Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip to Kazakhstan.

Kaljurand said that in the last two years, Kazakh coal supplies practically stopped, the volumes of Kazakh grain transshipment significantly decreased. The bulk is oil cargo.

"We have deep-water ports and berths, up to 18 meters deep. And we can receive bulker with a capacity of 150,000 tons and tanker with capacity of 300,000 tons, which makes it possible to work for a long distance," Kaljurand said.

Today, Estonia supplies to Kazakhstan engineering products, food, vehicles. Kazakhstan, in turn, exports to this country oil (following 2011 oil supplies at 75 million euros), rubber, chemicals.

Kazakhstan is a key partner of Estonia in Central Asia and ranks 27th among its trading partners. Bilateral trade in 2011 amounted to 126 million euros, in the first half of 2012 - 83.5 million euros.
