U.S insurance company’s subsidiary transfers over 93 per cent of payments for property insurance against fire

A subsidiary of the U.S insurance company Chartis (AIG Insurance) in Azerbaijan - Chartis Azerbaijan, collected insurance premiums worth 1.334 million manat as of the first three quarters of 2012, the company reported on Saturday. All premiums were collected on voluntary non-life-insurance.

Chartis Azerbaijan also collected premiums worth 22.89 million manat for personal insurance.

The company collected 0.81 million manat in property insurance during the reporting period of which 0.74 million manat fell to property insurance against fire and other risks and 61,600 manat was from cargo insurance. Around 0.504 million manat fell to types of liability insurance.

The insurance company made payments worth 49,610 manat for the nine months of 2012 of which 46,210 fell to property insurance against fire and other risks.

The company's authorised capital is 3.5 million manat. The company renders services on one compulsory and seven types of voluntary insurance.
