Turkish exports to Iran decreases by almost third

Turkey's exports to Iran decreased to $242.5 million compared to $341.6 million in the previous month in November 2012, the report of Council of Exporters of Turkey, published on Monday on its official website, stated.

Turkish exports to Iran during the same month of 2011 amounted to $274 million.

Total exports of Turkey to Iran amounted to $3.1 billion in January-November 2012.

The range of goods exported by Turkey to Iran include wood products ($22 million), chemicals ($58 million), tobacco products ($6million), cement ($4million), gems and jewelery ($3,000), production of iron and steel ($29 million), other products ($153,000), electricity ($19 million), carpets ($2 million), grain products ($8 million), textiles ($22 million).

The main export of Turkish goods was made in Germany in November 2012

The main export of Turkish goods in November 2012 was promoted to Germany - $1.1 billion, Iraq - $1 billion, and the UK - $785 million.
