Steel production increased by 6.5 per cent reaching 33 million tons in Turkey in January-November 2012 compared to the same period of 2011, the report of the Turkish Association of Iron and Steel said on Friday.
Steel production at electric arc furnaces increased by 7 per cent and amounted to 24.6 million tons compared to January-November 2011. Steel production for complex facilities increased by 5.2 per cent to 8.5 million tons.
Slab production for the period declined by 9.2 per cent to 8.1 million tons.
